Starting to Customize Template

Greetings. I am on the hotels template and I am trying to custom edit it, but it seems I am doing something wrong because I am not getting the chance to view the snippets, or the content of the collections. And I cannot get to the stage where I can see the source of the images and data that displays on the UI. I am new to nocode and have no idea on coding… Please help
